Pre-departure drinks were offered a choice of sparkling wine, water or orange juice. It’s a very small detail but it does lower the overall experience when taken with other things that happened and a noticeable difference from BA that uses, special coasters and the like in First rather than standard napkins. The real issue was, even with this cut-down list, they kept running out, both of champagnes and strangely coca cola. The lounge was apparently regularly having to dispatch staff to other areas of the airport to get supplies in. Having visited since, these issues appeared to have been smoothed over but it was also quieter when I visited again so that may be why.
In the end, I gave up and phoned American again to be rebooked on the next day’s departure which they did smoothly and easily. A second B F will be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2024 and deployed on a transpacific route connecting mainland China to North America. By this account and many others I’ve heard, passengers are searched and aisles are frantically patrolled. Some might draw comparisons to unpleasant dictatorships and that’s a rabbit hole we’ll avoid today now that we’ve planted the seed. I don’t know whether I was just having particularly bad luck on this flight but the IFE was almost unusable, the interface was very old and reminded me of early windows with the scroll bars.
Multiple times it had been announced that masks needed to be worn at the airport as Brazil had reinstituted this requirement. During deplaning very few passengers wore one, even when there were staff on the jet bridge handing them out. The immigration queues were relatively fast and the officers were friendly from my experience and before long I was waiting outside in far too warm clothes waiting for my taxi to take me to my hotel. There was the option to use WiFi and the pricing was up to $19 for the entire flight. Due to it being an overnight flight where I was trying to sleep for as much of it as possible outside of the meal service, I decided not to pay for it in the end.
For an AvGeek like me, this was perfect as I would be on two 777s, two 787s and one A321 all on the same booking. As people reading the reviews I have done will no doubt have gathered by now, I very much enjoy flying. I end up positioning to various parts of the world in weird and wacky ways in order to fly on special flights. In order to get to Sao Paulo for Azul’s maiden A350 flight I had to become quite creative given just how high prices were. I managed to find an interesting routing to Brazil from the UK from American Airlines. It was possible to fly directly with British Airways in a Club Suite but it was cheaper to fly from Dublin to Sao Paulo via London and New York in First Class.
If you enjoy the open road, this slot is doing its best to create a high-octane version of the classic road trip adventure. My name is Robert Schrader, and I’m a Japan travel expert with nearly a decade of experience under my belt. On the way to Japan I didn’t bother watching anything—I’d purchased in-flight WiFI, which was too slow to use, and then fell asleep. On the way back, I made the mistake of watching the ridiculous “Bullet Train” and “Wonder Woman 1984,” which was also ridiculous but was better written and acted.
Some of the worst compliance I had seen with ignoring the seatbelt sign which is normally reserved for the end of the flight rather than the beginning. During the climb, we were given hot towels which given my now relatively low expectations I was pleasantly surprised by. The remaining routes are from San Francisco (six), Houston (four), Denver (three), and Boston and Los Angeles (one each). All in all, another great game by Elk Studios, with bonus features aplenty and huge wins – just be careful as this highway can stretch for miles with little respite. The third reel will then re-spin up to 5 times, paying each time you get a win. Which isn’t much, but two skulls during this bonus game can re-trigger as much as an additional 15 spins – which we’ve seen happen on multiple occasions.
Getting enough wins to fill up your tank will happen if you have patience, and especially if you manage to hit the wheel of fortune instant win game. But that’s part of the excitment; to play on a classic machine that offers more than just wins on paylines. From the motes of dust that dance in the beams of the desert sunset background, to the orange-monochrome animated loops that frame the reels. The symbols are neat and simple, the gang patch is suitably threatening, and the standard fruit and bells are augmented with the fruit of a prickly pear cactus. Route 777 reimagines the hardcore biker road trip in line with a 777-slot. The game features a motorcycle gang patch and a desert background that can’t help but conjure up the idea of both Route 66 and the Hell’s Angels disaster at Altamont.
